NSW Qualification Criteria - Have I qualified for the Nationals?
In sparring competition, you must have come 1st, 2nd or 3rd (there are two 3rd place getters) at the Taekwondo NSW Selection event held on August 9.
For technical competitors, gold and silver medallists from the NSW selection event qualify. There are national entry criteria, which will be resolved by the NSW technical director.
Please note that
1) The 4 sparring qualification spots are reserved for NSW players in each division. We had interstate guests at our comp. If you came 5th, but an interstate player came 1st, you still qualify.
2) If someone above you does not want to (or cannot) compete at the nationals, their spot opens up for the next ranked competitor.
3) If your division is a merged division (because of a lack of players in your division), you qualify.
4) If you were uncontested, you qualify for nationals.
5) If there is any confusion as to whether you qualify or not, The NSW Team Manager can advise you.
