Volunteer Information
Many thanks to the people who have already signed up to assist run a successful Nationals in 2008. This page is to give you the information you have all been asking for. Please email matt@tkdnsw.org.au if you have feedback / input about this page
What is Involved
The aim is to have 30 volunteers on hand each competition day. Tasks include:
- Turning up early (7:30am) to learn how to do your job and have a practice
- For those who can make it, there will be a meeting on Wednesday night to discuss marshalling processes for tech comp - details to follow
- Manning the front door.
- Marshalling (the biggest job)
- Getting players sorted out in the warm up area
- Getting players paired up / grouped up and into the "holding pattern"
- Getting players to courts
- Getting players to the results table
- Getting players to clear the competition area
- Scoring System Operaters
- Assist with record keeping for the technical competition
- Assist with Competition Administration.
- Assist keeping the technology functioning.
- Maintaining a positive 'can do' attitude.
- Sticking with it when the day is getting long.

At the end of the day I hope you are volunteering for National and State pride, but yes there are a few fringe benefits
